Where are you based?
My studio is in Ossett, West Yorkshire. It’s easy to find, close to town, and has everything we need for a relaxed family shoot. No need to trek across Yorkshire with bags of snacks and spare clothes.
What types of family shoots do you offer?
I offer full family sessions, baby and child portraits, and seasonal mini sessions (like Christmas and spring specials). Shoots can be just for the kids, or the whole family—whatever suits you best.
How long does a session take?
Full family sessions usually last around an hour. Mini sessions are shorter, around 20 minutes, and happen on specific dates throughout the year. Either way, we keep things relaxed and fun.
What should we wear?
Go for outfits that feel like you, but coordinate gently as a family. Neutrals and soft tones work beautifully in my studio. Avoid big logos or busy patterns if you can. I’ll send you a full prep guide before your shoot.
Can I bring grandparents, cousins or extended family?
For full sessions, yes. If you’d like to include extended family, just let me know when you book so we can allow time and plan the setup. Mini sessions are best kept to immediate family due to the time limit.
Do you photograph newborns?
Yes—but I do them a little differently. My style is natural and relaxed, with baby in your arms or snuggled in soft blankets, rather than posed in props. Perfect if you’d like something simple and heartfelt.
What if my kids don’t behave?
Honestly, that’s completely normal. I’ve been a photographer for 19 years and I’ve seen it all. The best photos often happen in the in-between moments, so don’t stress. I’ll guide the session gently and keep it playful.
How much does it cost?
Pricing varies depending on the type of shoot. Bespoke sessions start at £300 and mini sessions are £150. You’ll receive a full pricing guide when you enquire.
Can I choose which photos I get? Yes. After your shoot, you’ll receive a gallery of edited images to choose from. Depending on your package, you can select your favourites and have the option to upgrade or purchase extras if you’d like.
How long does it take to get my photos? Your gallery will be ready within two weeks (often sooner—I get just as excited as you do). If you’ve chosen printed products, those may take a little longer depending on what you order.
Will you retouch the photos? All images are gently edited to reflect my natural, timeless style. I’ll remove temporary marks like scrapes or spots if needed, but I won’t over-edit—your photos will still look like you.
How do I book?
Just fill in the contact form on my website or drop me a message. I’ll be in touch to chat about what you’re after and find a date that works.
Can I share the photos on social media? Absolutely. Once you’ve downloaded your chosen images, you’re free to share them wherever you like. All I ask is that you don’t apply any filters or make heavy edits, so they stay true to the style you chose me for.
Do you offer gift vouchers?
Yes—family shoots make a brilliant gift. You can purchase a digital voucher or request a printed one to wrap up and give in person.
What if I need to cancel or reschedule? Life happens, especially with little ones. If you need to reschedule, just let me know as soon as you can. I’m happy to move your booking where possible. For cancellations, please give at least 48 hours’ notice. Last-minute cancellations may result in a loss of your booking fee, but I’ll always do my best to be fair and flexible.
What happens if we’re running late?
For bespoke family shoots, there’s usually a bit more flexibility—so if you’re running a little late, just let me know and I’ll do my best to make it work.
For mini sessions, though, the timing is much tighter. These are scheduled back-to-back with lots of lovely families booked in, so being late will eat into your own session time. I want you to get the most out of it, so please aim to arrive a few minutes early if you can.
